Company, Ages 8-18
Each year interested, experienced dancers audition for the Metro Dance Company Competition Team. Members meet August- June, compete at 3-4 local Regional dance competitions and travel out of state for National Competition each summer. Dancers must attend weekly rehearsals and meetings and enroll in the necessary prerequisite classes.
All Company dancers perform together in group jazz and contemporary and have the opportunity to audition for other competitive pieces in Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Musical Theater, Lyrical and Hip Hop.
Competitive solo, duo and trios also available in discipline of choice.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years dance experience
- Ages 8-18
- Enrolled in Cecchetti Grade I
- Concurrently enroll in Company, Cecchetti Ballet Technique, Pointe Technique, Technique and Ballet and Jazz and/or Contemporary classes
- Attend Company Boot Camps and enroll in one additional Summer class
- Attend NUVO dance convention
Apprentice Company, Ages 5-9
Apprentice Company gives young dancers a chance to experience competitions with other newer competitive dancers of the same age. Dancers meet each Wednesday September-June and will learn a lyrical dance and jazz dance. Apprentice dancers in Youth Tap can add the Youth
Tap class and participate in our Apprentice Tap competition dance. All dancers must also enroll in weekly ballet class and dancers ages 7+ are strongly encouraged to begin Cecchetti. Apprentice Company performs at 3 local spring competitions and both June dance recitals.

• At least 1 year dance experience
• Age 5-9
• Concurrently enroll in a weekly ballet class
